2 IAF Fighter Planes Crash In Madhya Pradesh, One Pilot Killed | Exclusive

Two IAF aircraft crashed on Saturday morning in Madhya Pradesh in what appears to be a mid-air collision. Near Morena, Madhya Pradesh, a Sukhoi-30 and a Mirage 2000 aircraft collided.

The plane had left the Gwailor air base in the morning. A. K. Verma, a local administrator in Madhya Pradesh, stated, “I can confirm that two aircraft from the Indian Air Force crashed in our jurisdiction. The cause of the crash has not yet been determined.”

According to preliminary reports, one aircraft crashed in Morena, Madhya Pradesh, and another reportedly went down near Bharatpur.
The Mirage jet had one pilot on takeoff while the Su-30 had two. The pilot’s condition is still a mystery.

IAF chief Air Chief Marshal VR Chaudhari and CDS Gen. Anil Chauhan are both in contact with Defence Minister Rajnath Singh. The minister has inquired about the crash’s specifics.

To determine if there was a mid-air collision, the Indian Air Force has also started its investigation. During the crash, the Su-30 had two pilots while the Mirage 2000 only had one. According to early reports, both pilots are secure.

Shivraj Singh Chouhan, the chief minister of Madhya Pradesh, issued a Twitter directive requesting support from the local government for the IAF’s relief and rescue efforts. “I have ordered the local administration to work with the Air Force in expedient rescue and relief efforts,” wrote CM Chouhan.

I ask God for the safety of the aeroplane pilots.”

The accident is the most recent in a string of mishaps involving the nation’s military air fleet.

When their helicopter crashed in Arunachal Pradesh in October of last year, five soldiers from the army perished. After a Cheetah helicopter crashed near the town of Tawang, killing its pilot, it was the second military helicopter crash in the state that month.

General Bipin Rawat, the head of India’s defence, was one of 13 people who perished in December 2021 when a Russian-built Mi-17 helicopter carrying him to an air force base crashed.
