The Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) officials have seized 14 kg of heroin at Bengaluru Airport. The value of the seized drugs is close to ₹100 crore. The 45-year-old man, reportedly from Telangana was caught while he was supposed to fly to New Delhi. He arrived in Bengaluru from Addis Ababa and was caught during transit in Bengaluru. A United Airlines Boeing 737 aircraft taxied for so long at Newark Airport, that it eventually ran out of fuel. The aircraft reportedly stayed on the tarmac and taxiways for more than six hours. An Alaska Airlines Boeing 737 lost part of its engine cowling while landing at Seattle-SeaTac International Airport.   The Alaska Airlines Boeing 737-900ER with registration N293AK declared an emergency and returned to Seattle shortly after take off. The aircraft was operating flight AS558 from Seattle to San Diego with 176 passengers and six crew members on board. The aircraft safely landed back in Seattle some 20 minutes after departure.
