DUBAI- Emirates (EK), the world’s largest international airline, has distributed 834 handcrafted children’s backpacks with school essentials across Jordan (AMM) through its ‘Aircrafted KIDS’ initiative. The donations reached four local organizations: SOS Children’s Villages, Madrasati Initiative, Jewels, and Al-Hussein Social Foundation Society.
The initiative reinforces Emirates’ commitment to education and youth empowerment, providing students with the tools and motivation to pursue learning opportunities. It highlights the airline’s long-term investment in the social development of Jordanian communities.

Emirates Strengthens Support in Jordan
Education remains one of the strongest pathways to opportunity. Recognizing this, Emirates launched its ‘Aircrafted KIDS’ initiative, distributing limited-edition backpacks made from upcycled aircraft materials.
Each handcrafted bag includes essential stationery, symbolizing both sustainability and educational empowerment.
According to Mohammad Bin Hafiz, Emirates’ Country Manager for Jordan and the West Bank, the project reflects the airline’s deep connection with Jordan since beginning operations to Amman in 1986.
He emphasized that empowering children through education aligns with the Emirates’ broader community goals across its global network.
Tala Sweis, Director of the Madrasati Initiative, noted that the collaboration with Emirates goes beyond material support, adding that the initiative brings hope and inspiration to young learners.
Similarly, Areej Khatib from SOS Children’s Villages described the school bag as a “symbol of dreams,” representing a child’s first step toward building a brighter future.

Turning Aircraft Materials into Purpose
The Aircrafted KIDS collection forms part of Emirates’ larger sustainability program, ‘Aircrafted by Emirates’.
Every item in the range is handmade by Emirates Engineering specialists using reclaimed materials from retired Airbus A380 and Boeing 777 aircraft currently undergoing cabin refurbishments. More than 50,000 kilograms of aircraft materials have been repurposed so far.
Each piece carries a story of transformation—turning aviation materials once destined for disposal into meaningful, educational tools. This creative reuse underscores Emirates’ commitment to reducing waste while supporting local and international communities.

Expanding Global Reach
Jordan joins a growing list of countries benefiting from the Aircrafted KIDS initiative, with more than 3,700 backpacks distributed to date across ten countries, including Egypt, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Ethiopia, Bangladesh, Pakistan, and India.
By extending this program to Jordan, Emirates demonstrates that its role extends beyond connecting destinations.
It’s also about connecting people, supporting education, and creating pathways for young minds to thrive.
