Boeing continues its excellent performance at Farnborough Airshow 2022, launching into day four with an order for 50 737 MAX from Qatar Airways. The Middle East airline placed a firm order for 25 of the most significant variant, the 737 MAX 10, with options for a further 25 of the type. Boeing is currently lagging behind on several of its projects. Dreamliner deliveries have been halted on orders from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), the 777X program is running years after schedule, and the 737 MAX 7 and MAX 10 aircraft are still awaiting recertification.
Akasa Air, India’s newest airline recently took delivery of its first Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft in Seattle, USA. The aircraft has now left Boeing’s facility in Seattle and has arrived in Iceland.
Akasa Air seems to have its program in place for a July launch, with its CEO confident of starting ticket sales early next month. The airline was handed over its first Boeing 737 MAX airplane recently and will soon conduct establishing flights to receive its AOC.
