Following uproars from flyers, Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia has told that he will be looking into the process where passengers are being charged an extra sum of Rs 200 for getting their boarding passes at the airport.

The deal had been in the works for months. On May 12th, Air France-KLM and IndiGo implemented their codeshare deal, which they declared in December last year. This permits each airline to access several additional routes in each other’s networks and offers passengers the convenience of more options.

The regulation referred to is part of the Civil Aviation Requirements (CAR) (Section 3, Series ‘M’, Part I), which lays down “regulations for the carriage of persons with disabilities and reduced mobility by air to save them against discrimination and to ensure that they obtain all possible service during their journey”.
