A probe has been started into the fire in a Delhi-bound SpiceJet aircraft after take-off from Patna and two other air incidents, involving the IndiGo and SpiceJet flights, a senior official of the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) said on Monday.
DGCA said on june 16 that it had identified 30 FTOs to be in violation of several safety laws after auditing them since march 21, 2022.
The aviation safety regulator told that the matter is “of serious concern and unacceptable”. “After going through Air India submissions, as part of enforcement action, the competent authority has levied a fine of Rs 10 Lakh. In addition, the airline has been advised to directly put the systems in place to resolve the issue failing which further action shall be taken by DGCA,” the aviation watchdog told in a report.

As per the advice of DGCA, the company refused these 90 pilots from operating MAX aircraft, until these pilots undergo re-training.
