NEW YORK– A scheduled flight operated by Delta Air Lines (DL) from LaGuardia Airport (LGA) was evacuated on Tuesday evening following a reported bomb threat. The aircraft, preparing to depart for Minneapolis–Saint Paul International Airport (MSP), was cleared by authorities after an intensive search.

Delta Flight Gets Bomb Threat
Delta’s flight, identified as DL2313, was parked at Terminal C of LaGuardia when crew members reported a security concern at approximately 8 p.m. local time.
Airport police from the Port Authority Police Department (PAPD) responded swiftly and directed the aircraft to be moved away from the gate area for further inspection.
Passengers were deplaned and transported back to the terminal via bus. Luggage and the aircraft were searched, and after roughly two hours, authorities declared the scene secure and cleared the aircraft at around 10 p.m.
Delay and Re-booking
Delta announced that the safety and security of its customers and staff remained the top priority and apologised for the resulting travel disruption. The carrier said the flight would depart overnight and resume in the early hours of Wednesday.
Passengers who had been scheduled for the original departure were re-booked onto a morning service. No injuries or explosives were reported during the incident.
