The airline will also begin daily direct service on the Mumbai-Coimbatore route beginning May 27 and double the number of daily flights on the Bengaluru-Coimbatore route from June 3.

A piece of recent information suggests the two airlines could merge by the end of next year. Long before the Tata Group officially took over Air India, whispers about the airline’s likely merger with Vistara started floating about.
Vistara, the Tata Group, and Singapore Airlines joint venture declared its daily route connecting London Heathrow with Delhi, the Indian capital.

Vistara announced on Thursday that flights between Coimbatore and Delhi, Mumbai, and Bengaluru will begin on May 20.
At 505 weekly flights, IndiGo will have the highest international departures on a standalone basis among all airlines, followed by Air India at 361, AI Express at 340, and Emirates at 170.
Emirates, will resume pre-pandemic flight frequencies to India on April 1, operating 170 weekly flights to nine cities across the country.
The Indian aviation regulator DGCA reported on Monday that 76.96 lakh domestic passengers flew in February.
