European plane maker, Airbus has chosen eight potential locations for its second assembly line, which will make H125 helicopters in India.

Airbus presently conducts final assembly operations at six locations, spanning France, Germany, the US, Canada, China, and, most recently, India.
In a significant boost to the ‘Make in India’ initiative, Airbus Helicopters has announced a partnership with the Tata Group to establish a Final Assembly Line (FAL) for helicopters in the country.
Airbus Helicopters and Indamer have partnered to deliver advanced after-market services for helicopters in India, marking a significant advancement for the rotary-wing Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) ecosystem in the country.
The training of pilots is currently in progress, and the helicopter is expected to be operational in the United States during the first quarter of 2024.
