The Indian Air Force (IAF) has grounded its entire inventory of MiG-21 fighter aircraft.

On Wednesday morning, a US Navy contract aircraft crashed into the Pacific Ocean near Southern California. The US coast guards have launched a search and rescue operation for three people who were on board the aircraft.

According to defense sources, an Indian Air Force MiG-21 crashed on Monday in the Hamumangarh district of Rajasthan, but the pilot has been reported as safe. Sources added that the army’s helicopter has arrived at the scene to conduct rescue operations.
