MONTREAL— Bombardier has officially delivered its first Global 8000 business jet to NetJets, the world’s largest private aviation operator. The handover took place at Bombardier’s Laurent Beaudoin Completion Centre in the presence of employees, NetJets leadership, and guests.
NetJets, the fleet launch customer for the Global 8000, plans to build a 24-aircraft fleet of the type. The operator will also upgrade its entire in-service Global 7500 fleet to the Global 8000 standard, with options to grow the fleet further in the coming years.

Bombardier Delivers Flagship Global 8000 to NetJets
Bombardier has completed the first delivery of its Global 8000 aircraft to NetJets at its Laurent Beaudoin Completion Centre in Montreal.
The event included company leadership, employees, and invited guests, highlighting the significance of this milestone for both companies.
NetJets, a Berkshire Hathaway company and the world’s largest private aviation operator, is the launch customer for the Global 8000. This initial delivery is part of a planned fleet of 24 aircraft. The company also intends to upgrade its existing Global 7500 fleet to the Global 8000 standard, expanding its ultra-long-range capabilities.
The Global 8000 introduces a new benchmark in business aviation performance. With a maximum speed of Mach 0.95, it becomes the fastest civil aircraft since the Concorde era. Its range of 8,000 nautical miles enables nonstop connections between distant city pairs such as New York and Hong Kong or San Francisco and Sydney.

The Global 8000: Performance and Capability That Redefine Business Aviation
The Bombardier Global 8000 is the fastest civil aircraft since the Concorde, with a top speed of Mach 0.95 (627 miles per hour) and a range of 8,000 nautical miles, equating to 16.75 hours of nonstop flight. These figures allow operators to connect city pairs that were previously beyond the reach of any business jet, including routes such as San Francisco to Sydney and New York to Hong Kong without a single stop.
The aircraft holds the lowest cabin altitude in business aviation production at 2,691 feet, a figure that directly reduces passenger fatigue on long-haul sectors.
Two proprietary cabin systems, Bombardier’s Pũr Air System and the Soleil circadian lighting system, work together to minimize the physiological effects of jet lag.
The Soleil system is the first circadian-rhythm-based lighting fully integrated into a flight management system, adjusting ambient light to align with the destination time zone throughout the flight.
Despite its long-range credentials, the Global 8000 maintains takeoff and landing performance comparable to that of a light jet.
An advanced wing design featuring leading-edge slats enables the aircraft to access up to 30% more airports than its closest competitor, opening access to more than 2,000 additional destinations worldwide.

A Four-Zone Cabin Built for Comfort and Productivity
The Global 8000 is the only business jet in its class to offer a true four-zone cabin layout with an 8,000-nautical-mile range. The interior provides the longest seated length in its class and includes a dedicated private stateroom fitted with a permanent bed dressed in custom luxury linens.
A conference suite with seating for six supports productive meetings in flight, while a large galley allows flight attendants to plate chef-prepared meals. The Nuage seat, developed exclusively by Bombardier, features a floating base design that adjusts, tilts, and repositions to passenger preference, representing the first significant rethinking of business aircraft seating in three decades.
The cabin management system is controlled through an exclusive touchscreen interface, giving passengers direct control over lighting, temperature, and entertainment. A 40-inch 4K television display anchors the entertainment suite, which includes a reclining divan.
The aircraft also carries high-speed international Wi-Fi, with Starlink satellite internet connectivity planned as an upcoming addition to further improve reliability and performance inflight.

NetJets and Bombardier: A Long-Standing Partnership Advancing Together
Patrick Gallagher, President of NetJets Aviation, described the Global 8000 as a direct expression of the two companies’ shared values, stating that the aircraft’s range and features align precisely with NetJets’ commitment to safety, service, and access.
Éric Martel, President and CEO of Bombardier, called the delivery a landmark moment, noting that NetJets clients will now be able to experience performance and luxury that has no equivalent in the current business aviation market.
NetJets has operated private aviation services for more than 60 years and is a Berkshire Hathaway company. Its fleet is the largest and most diverse in private aviation, providing owners with access to destinations across the globe at any time.
The addition of the Global 8000 strengthens that offering at the ultra-long-range end of the market, where speed and range determine which routes are operationally possible without a technical stop.
