NAVI MUMBAI– IndiGo Airlines (6E) has announced the launch of six new direct domestic routes from Navi Mumbai International Airport (NMI), further expanding its regional footprint. The services will commence on March 29, 2026, subject to regulatory approvals.
The Gurugram-based carrier will deploy its ATR 72-600 aircraft on these routes, strengthening connectivity between Navi Mumbai and key tier-2 and tier-3 cities. With this expansion, IndiGo aims to reinforce NMI as an emerging domestic hub while enhancing regional air travel options.

IndiGo’s New ATR Routes
IndiGo will connect Navi Mumbai with Ahmedabad (AMD), Diu (DIU), Goa (GOI), Rajkot (RAJ), Belgaum (IXG), and Kolhapur (KLH). All routes will operate daily, offering consistent schedules for business and leisure travelers.
The Ahmedabad service will feature evening departures from Navi Mumbai at 21:10, with the return leg arriving at 20:40. The Diu route will operate mid-morning rotations, ensuring convenient same-day connectivity.
Goa will receive two daily frequencies from Navi Mumbai, increasing travel flexibility on one of India’s busiest leisure corridors. Rajkot will see early morning operations, while Belgaum and Kolhapur will benefit from both morning and evening options.
According to The Economic Times, Kolhapur will have two daily departures from Navi Mumbai, allowing passengers to plan short business trips efficiently. The detailed schedule reflects IndiGo’s strategy to offer timed connections that support onward domestic travel.
Ticket bookings for all six destinations are now open across IndiGo’s website, mobile app, and authorized travel partners. The airline has confirmed that final schedules remain subject to regulatory clearance.

IndiGo’s Flight Schedule Details
Under the published schedule, IndiGo will operate 16 daily ATR movements across the six routes. Each sector will run with daily frequency, ensuring predictable operations for passengers.
The ATR 72-600 aircraft deployed on these routes accommodates up to 78 passengers. This turboprop aircraft is designed for short-haul regional sectors and supports efficient operations on routes with moderate demand.
Morning departures dominate the Rajkot and Kolhapur sectors, while Goa and Ahmedabad services include evening frequencies. The dual-frequency Goa service strengthens connectivity between Mumbai’s metropolitan region and the coastal tourism hub.
The structured timetable also supports same-day return options on select sectors. This approach aligns with IndiGo’s network model, which focuses on maximizing aircraft utilization while maintaining punctuality.

IndiGo’s Regional Growth Strategy
IndiGo continues to expand its ATR network to improve access between smaller cities and major economic centers. The airline’s regional expansion supports tourism, trade, and local economic activity.
With a fleet of more than 400 aircraft and over 2,200 daily flights, IndiGo remains India’s largest airline by market share. It connects more than 95 domestic and over 40 international destinations.
The addition of six new routes from Navi Mumbai marks a strategic step in developing the airport as a secondary gateway for the Mumbai metropolitan region. By deploying ATR aircraft, IndiGo can serve thinner routes efficiently while increasing overall connectivity.
The airline stated that these services build on its growing presence at Navi Mumbai and offer greater schedule flexibility. As operations begin in late March 2026, passengers in western India will gain improved direct access to key regional cities.
