To advance sustainability in aviation, Boeing has initiated a collaborative effort with NASA and United Airlines (UA).

CALIFORNIA- US Aerospace giant, Boeing, has transported an MD-90 aircraft to the designated location where it will undergo modifications for testing the Transonic Truss-Braced Wing (TTBW) configuration as a pivotal element of NASA’s Sustainable Flight Demonstrator initiative.
US Aerospace giant Boeing and leading space research organization NASA have joined forces with major US airlines to work on the Sustainable Flight Demonstrator (SFD) project and the development of the revolutionary X-66A research aircraft.
According to NASA, the latest X-plane will be built as part of the Sustainable Flight Demonstrator project in collaboration with the US planemaker Boeing Company.
Boeing will have the opportunity to demonstrate that it is still a reliable partner for major projects by learning from its past errors during NASA’s mega-rocket launch on Monday.
“High winds forced the stairs outside the aircraft to shift, causing light damage to the front of the aircraft, as well as the stairs itself”
On the flight will be CFT Commander Barry “Butch” Wilmore, who was given by NASA to the prime crew in October 2020, along with NASA astronaut Suni Williams, who will be the pilot.
