According to airline insiders with direct knowledge of the situation, Tata Group-owned international low-cost carrier Air India Express may grow its fleet of 24 Boeing 737 aircraft by four by year’s end in order to accommodate the rising demand for foreign travel.
According to a source close to the situation, Air India plans to expand its fleet by more than 200 jets over the next five years.
