DUBAI— Emirates (EK), the world’s largest international airline, is holding in-person engineering recruitment roadshows in Mumbai (BOM) and New Delhi (DEL) between July 21 and 25, 2025, as part of its global hiring drive.
The airline is inviting experienced Licensed Aircraft Engineers to explore roles with Emirates Engineering, based at its hub in Dubai (DXB). The events run on July 21-22 in Mumbai and July 24-25 in New Delhi.

Emirates Targets Indian Engineering Talent
Emirates is scouting skilled engineering professionals through dedicated roadshows across two major Indian cities. The events give candidates direct access to Emirates recruiters and engineering representatives.
At these sessions, applicants can discuss the role, salary, benefits, and the full recruitment process. Recruiters will also share insights into living and working in Dubai. Interested candidates must register for the roadshow at www.emiratesgroupcareers.com/engineering.
Successful candidates will join Emirates Engineering, one of the world’s largest and most sophisticated aircraft maintenance organisations. The team is responsible for ensuring the safety, reliability, and operational excellence of the airline’s fleet.
Mohammad Sarhan, VP, India and Nepal, Emirates, said:
India is home to a highly skilled engineering workforce, and this talent is increasingly contributing to the global aviation industry. We are committed to providing Indian engineers with the opportunity to work on the world’s largest fleet of widebody aircraft, gain exposure to advanced technologies, and collaborate with a diverse team of aviation professionals. Through these opportunities, we hope to support their professional development while contributing to the future of global aviation.”

A New Mega-Facility at Dubai South
Emirates is building a new engineering facility at Dubai South that will span 1.1 million square metres. This makes it one of the largest buildings in the world by volume and the largest steel structure in the GCC.
The complex will be the world’s only hangar facility able to service 28 wide-body aircraft at the same time, supported by two painting hangars. Key features of the site include:
- The largest free-span hangar in the world at a width of 285 metres
- The largest dedicated landing gear workshop in the world
- 77,000 square metres of dedicated workshop space for repairs and maintenance
- 380,000 square metres of storage and logistics capacity
- Two paint hangars for wide-body aircraft, with extended capacity to handle narrow-body aircraft
Construction is expected to finish by the middle of 2030. The hangar complex will initially service aircraft requiring heavy maintenance and handle spillover projects from the Emirates Engineering Centre at Dubai International Airport (DXB).

Four Decades in India
Emirates has spent 40 years building its presence in India through steady investment, partnership, and growth. The airline launched flights from Dubai to Delhi and Mumbai in October 1985, which formed the base of its initial route network.
Since then, Emirates has expanded to serve nine destinations across the country. These include Ahmedabad (AMD), Bengaluru (BLR), Chennai (MAA), Delhi, Hyderabad (HYD), Kochi (COK), Kolkata (CCU), Mumbai, and Thiruvananthapuram (TRV).
