ATLANTA- Delta Air Lines (DL) expands its international route network by introducing a new seasonal flight from Los Angeles (LAX) to Brisbane (BNE), Australia.
The airline will operate three weekly flights connecting Los Angeles (LAX) directly to the Australian city. This strategic route launch highlights the significant transportation infrastructure development in Queensland.
Delta Air Lines Los Angeles to Brisbane Flight
The Delta Air Lines (DL) inaugural flight showcased a distinctive LA28 Olympics livery, symbolically connecting two Olympic host cities.
The aircraft design purposefully links Los Angeles, hosting the 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games, with Brisbane, which will host the 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games. This visual branding emphasizes the global sporting connection between the two destinations.
Delta Air Lines’ inaugural flight DL93 landed in Brisbane at 7:18 am, live streamed globally to mark a significant international route expansion. The event included a watch party in Los Angeles celebrating the new city connection.
The airline operates the Airbus A350-900 on this route, accommodating 306 passengers with advanced travel capabilities. Delta maintains an extensive global network, executing over 4,000 daily flights across nearly 280 destinations on six continents.
The new Brisbane-Los Angeles route provides travelers with comprehensive connectivity through Delta’s upgraded Los Angeles hub.

Brisbane Airport has now expanded its connectivity, offering direct routes to 32 international cities and 62 domestic locations. This development positions the airport as Australia’s most connected domestic airport and a significant international gateway.
