DUBAI- Emirates (EK) has announced the expansion of its highly sought-after A380s Premium Economy offering to two additional destinations in its network.
Starting from November 19, Premium Economy will be available on flights to São Paulo, Brazil, and from December 20, it will be introduced on flights to Tokyo Narita, Japan.

Emirates A380 Premium Economy to New Cities
São Paulo will become the fifth destination in Emirates’ North and South American network to offer the new cabin class. At the same time, Tokyo Narita will be the second gateway in the Far East to feature this premium product, which includes extra legroom, premium amenities, and features.
As Emirates continues its retrofit program and extends the product to more routes, São Paulo will become the 13th city to receive Emirates’ newly retrofitted flagship A380 aircraft, and the number of destinations offering Premium Economy will increase to 14 with the addition of Tokyo Narita.
In addition to the new Premium Economy seats, these upgraded aircraft will feature refreshed interiors, enhancing the overall passenger experience with a new look and feel.
Passengers can book seats immediately through emirates.com, Emirates sales offices, and authorized travel agencies.
Starting from November 19, passengers flying between Dubai and São Paulo can now book Emirates’ Premium Economy seats on flight EK261/262. Initially, this service will be available three times a week and will increase to daily flights in December. Additionally, Premium Economy seats will be available on flights EK318/319 to and from Tokyo Narita on a daily basis starting from December 20.
The aircraft deployed on these routes will feature a four-class configuration, including 56 Premium Economy seats at the front of the main deck and arranged in a 2-4-2 configuration. In addition, there will be 338 seats in Economy Class, 76 in Business Class, and 14 First Class suites.
São Paulo will be operated by the enhanced A380 aircraft in a four-class configuration, marking the introduction of Premium Economy to Emirates’ Latin American network. Tokyo Narita will be the first gateway in Japan to offer Premium Economy, following its debut in Singapore in July.

Current and Upcoming Routes
Emirates’ Premium Economy offering has proven to be highly popular on the ten routes where it has already been introduced. With increasing travel demand across its extensive network, it is expected to attract passengers seeking a premium travel experience at an attractive price point.
Since the introduction of Premium Economy one year ago, more than 160,000 customers have chosen to upgrade from Economy Class to enjoy its enhanced experience.
Emirates currently offers Premium Economy seats on its A380 aircraft to various global destinations, including London Heathrow, Sydney, Melbourne, Auckland, Christchurch, Singapore, Los Angeles, New York JFK, Houston, and San Francisco.
Premium Economy will also debut on Emirates flights to Mumbai and Bengaluru starting October 29.

Premium Economy has gained popularity among a wide range of travelers, including leisure and business travelers, solo flyers, and families who opt for an upgraded travel experience. Passengers in Premium Economy can look forward to luxurious seats, increased legroom, premium dining and beverage options, and various other perks and thoughtful added-value features.
The retrofitted aircraft features refreshed interiors with Emirates’ signature ghaf tree motif and aesthetic enhancements, beautiful designs, and new color palettes throughout the cabin.
Emirates currently operates daily flights between São Paulo and Dubai, providing passengers with connectivity to over 130 destinations worldwide. In addition, Emirates offers Boeing 777 service between Dubai and Rio de Janeiro, connecting travelers to Buenos Aires.
Emirates also serves customers in Japan through its three gateways, with daily flights to Tokyo Narita, Tokyo Haneda, and Osaka Kansai.
