DUBAI- Emirates (EK), the world’s largest international airline, will deploy its retrofitted Airbus A380 on the Dubai-Paris route from October 25, 2026. The daily service will operate between Dubai International Airport (DXB) and Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG).
The upgraded A380 will operate Emirates flights EK071 and EK072, bringing Premium Economy to Paris for the first time. The move means all three Emirates gateways in France will offer the airline’s latest Premium Economy cabin.
Emirates Expands Premium Economy to Paris
Emirates will introduce its retrofitted A380 on the Dubai-Paris route as part of its continued investment in premium travel options across France.
The aircraft will operate daily on EK071 and EK072 from October 25, 2026. The deployment will give passengers travelling between Dubai and Paris access to Emirates’ latest cabin products, including its Premium Economy service.
The expansion follows the introduction of Premium Economy on Emirates services to Lyon and Nice. The airline said the cabin has maintained a healthy seat load factor on routes to and from both French cities.
Around one in ten passengers travelling to Dubai from France currently chooses Premium Economy, highlighting sustained demand for an upgraded cabin positioned between Economy and Business Class.
Strong Demand for Premium Economy
Emirates said a large share of traffic into France comes from long-haul markets, including the United Arab Emirates, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Singapore, India and Thailand.
Travel on these routes often involves journeys lasting more than 10 hours, increasing demand for additional space, greater comfort and an enhanced inflight experience.
French passengers also travel heavily to long-haul destinations such as the Maldives and Mauritius. These destinations already offer Emirates Premium Economy, allowing customers to travel across the full journey in the airline’s newest cabin where applicable.
Cedric Renard, Emirates’ Country Manager in France, said the airline was pleased to extend its newest cabin experience to all three French gateways.
He said the airline had seen a strong customer response to Premium Economy in Lyon and Nice, while demand for the cabin continues to grow across the wider Emirates network.
Paris Becomes a Key Premium Economy Gateway
Paris is one of Emirates’ busiest global gateways for both inbound and outbound passengers. The introduction of Premium Economy reflects the airline’s long-term focus on the French market and gives passengers more cabin choice.
The move also strengthens Emirates’ Premium Economy offering across France. With Paris joining Lyon and Nice, customers travelling through the airline’s French network will have access to the cabin at all three gateways served by Emirates.
What Emirates’ Premium Economy Offers
The Premium Economy cabin on Emirates’ A380 is located at the front of the main deck and features 56 seats in a 2-4-2 configuration.
The cream leather seats recline and include cushioned leg rests and six-way adjustable headrests. Emirates designed the cabin to provide greater personal space and comfort than its Economy Class product.
Passengers receive regionally inspired meals prepared by Emirates chefs. The airline serves the meals on Royal Doulton fine china with linen napkins and stainless-steel Robert Welch cutlery.
The dining setup also includes a spacious woodgrain table integrated into the seat armrest.
Premium beverages include La Parde de Haut-Bailly 2014, a Pessac-LĂ©ognan wine from Bordeaux, and Chablis Premier Cru Jean-Marc Brocard 2024 from Burgundy. Passengers can also enjoy Chandon Vintage Brut 2021 from Australia, which is exclusive to the Premium Economy cabin.
Additional Airport Benefits
Premium Economy passengers departing from Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport will receive access to a dedicated check-in counter and priority boarding.
The cabin also includes a 35-kilogram checked baggage allowance and an additional 10 kilograms of carry-on baggage.
These services add airport benefits to the enhanced onboard experience offered by the retrofitted A380.
Retrofitted A380 Brings Wider Cabin Upgrades
The aircraft’s changes extend beyond Premium Economy. Emirates has refreshed the First Class, Business Class and Economy Class cabins as part of the A380 retrofit.
The aircraft receives a nose-to-tail refresh featuring a cream, bronze and sky-blue colour palette. Lighter-toned wood finishes contribute to the updated cabin design.
Emirates has also incorporated its signature ghaf tree motif throughout the aircraft. The ghaf tree is a historic and cultural symbol of the United Arab Emirates.
The airline has retained key A380 features, including the Onboard Lounge and Shower Spa. Both areas receive refreshed interiors featuring polished woodgrain finishes, bronze accents and ambient lighting.
Dubai-Paris Flights Open for Booking
Tickets for the upgraded Dubai-Paris service are available through Emirates’ website and mobile app, as well as online and offline travel agents.
Customers can also book through Emirates retail stores, including the Emirates Travel Store in Paris.
The airline continues to offer flexible booking policies and comprehensive travel insurance as part of its travel options.
The introduction of the retrofitted A380 will give Emirates passengers on the Paris route access to its newest Premium Economy product while adding refreshed interiors across the aircraft.
