NEW YORK- Chicago-based United Airlines (UA) Boeing 787 experienced a landing gear tire fire upon landing at the Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) in New York.
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) confirmed that on July 20, Firefighters extinguished a landing gear tire fire on a UA85 flight while the plane was on a taxiway.

The data from Flight Radar 24 shows that the United Airlines UA85 took off from Ben Gurion International Airport (TLV) in Tel Aviv, Israel, at 9:46 AM UTC.
The flight remained airborne for almost 11 hours and landed safely at EWR at 9:05 PM UTC. Upon touchdown, one of the tires of UA85 got heated up and caught fire.
The firefighter team extinguished it before it could spread further. The aircraft involved in the incident is United Boeing 787-10 Dreamliner registered as N91007. Further, the aircraft is 6.2 years old and is part of the 13 787-10 United fleet.
