ATLANTA- Delta Air Lines (DL) flight from Edinburgh (EDI) to Atlanta (ATL) operated by Boeing 767 has declared a general emergency.
Further, the flight is getting diverted to Keflavik International Airport (KEF), Iceland. The aircraft has safely landed at KEF; we will keep you posted.
Delta Edinburgh to Atlanta Declares Emergency
According to Flight Radar 24, Delta Air Lines (DL) flight DL35 took off from Edinburgh (EDI) at 1:05 PM UTC. After being airborne for almost one hour, the pilot declared an emergency.
At the time of the emergency declaration, the flight was over the Atlantic Ocean. Following this, the pilot decided to divert to KEF and safely landed at the KEF at around 4:32 PM UTC.
The emergency can be related to navigation or some technical problems to Inflight unruly passengers incident. We will let you know more about it once we have the update.
The aircraft involved in the incident is Delta Boeing 767-300, registered as N184DN. Further, it is a 30-year-old aircraft that was delivered by Boeing to Delta in 1993.
