DOHA- Qatar Airways (QR) will restore services to four Saudi Arabian destinations this winter, expanding connectivity between Doha and the Kingdom.
The carrier will resume flights to Qassim (ELQ) on October 25, Taif (TIF) on October 31, Yanbu (YNB) on January 2, 2027, and Tabuk (TUU) on January 3, 2027.
The four routes will strengthen connections through Hamad International Airport (DOH), giving passengers in Saudi Arabia greater access to Qatar Airways’ global network of more than 160 destinations.
Each resumed destination will initially receive two weekly flights, although Qassim will gain an additional Friday service from October 30.
Qatar Airways Flights Expand Across Key Markets
Qatar Airways will operate more than 155 weekly flights to Saudi Arabia during the winter season, marking an increase of over 10% from its summer schedule.
The expansion reflects the carrier’s continued focus on the Saudi market and its role in connecting regional cities with international destinations through Doha.
The airline carried more than 2.3 million passengers between Saudi Arabia and its worldwide network over the past 12 months. In June 2026, it also increased Riyadh services from 35 to 49 weekly flights, adding further capacity on one of its major Saudi routes.
The resumed services will give passengers in Qassim, Taif, Yanbu, and Tabuk more direct access to Doha and onward connections. The move also expands Qatar Airways’ Saudi network to a broad range of destinations across the Kingdom.
Route Schedules And Flight Details
Qassim services will restart on October 25, with flights operating every Sunday. Doha–Qassim flight QR1194 will depart at 08:15 and arrive at 10:00, while the return QR1195 will operate from 11:05 to 12:40; an additional Friday service begins October 30.
Taif flights will resume on October 31 and operate every Wednesday and Saturday. Flight QR1206 will leave Doha at 07:35 and reach Taif at 10:00, while QR1207 will return at 11:00 and arrive in Doha at 13:10.
Yanbu services will begin January 2, 2027, operating every Wednesday and Saturday. QR1216 will depart Doha at 07:30 and arrive at 10:15, with QR1217 returning at 11:20 and reaching Doha at 13:35.
Tabuk will rejoin the network on January 3, 2027, with flights every Thursday and Sunday. QR1220 will operate from Doha at 07:25 to 10:20, while QR1221 will depart Tabuk at 11:20 and arrive in Doha at 13:45.
Network Connectivity Across Saudi Arabia
The restored routes will complement Qatar Airways’ existing Saudi network, which includes Abha, AlUla, Dammam, Hail, Jeddah, Madinah, Riyadh, The Red Sea, and other destinations. NEOM is also scheduled to return to the network during the second half of 2027.
Passengers on selected widebody flights serving Riyadh, Jeddah, and Dammam can access complimentary Starlink Wi-Fi. Qatar Airways operated more than 685 Starlink-equipped flights across those three routes in July 2026 alone.
Bookings for the resumed services are available through Qatar Airways’ website and mobile application. The airline’s Privilege Club members can also earn and redeem Avios for benefits including upgrades, extra baggage, and eligible purchases.
