MUMBAI- TATA SIA Vistara Airlines 10th and Final Airbus A321neo has completed the customer acceptance flight today. Subsequently, this is the third flight for the aircraft.
The airline recently took the 9th A321neo on 11 March. It has leased a total of 10 A321neos, and the delivery of the 10th A321neo having registration VT-TVJ will mark the orders’ completion. Further, this might be the last narrowbody delivery that the airline will take before merging with Air India (AI) in 2024.
It took delivery of the First A321neo back on July 24, 2020. The aircraft features India’s most advanced aircraft cabin with fully flat beds in Vistara’s business class.
Vistara Final A321neo Updates
According to aviation flight, Airbus has completed two mandatory ground tests and three flights of the VT-TVJ. Here’s the timeline of events that led to the completion of the Customer Acceptance flight.
The aircraft was first spotted at Hamburg in primer without the paint on Jan 19, 2023. Subsequently, on March 6, both the CFM-Leap 1A engines were found installed on the aircraft.
The VT-TVJ completed the engine run and taxi check on April 21. Following this, on April 25, it completed the Taxi Check and Rejected Takeoff (RTO) checks.
On April 27, the VT-TVJ operated its maiden test flight. It flew from Hamburg (XFW) to Flughafen Hamburg (HAM) and back to XFW. Further, it was airborne for 2 hours and 13 mins.
Vistara VT-TVJ (German D-AZXZ) completed its second test flight from XFW to XFW. It was airborne for approx 40 mins.
Finally, it completed its customer acceptance flight today (May 15). It flew from XFW to XFW for almost one hour and 50 minutes. Subsequently, the airline will soon be on its delivery ferried flight to India.
Vistara A320neo Delivery Completion
Vistara (UK) took the delivery of its final Airbus A320neo. Furthermore, with the help of this, the aircraft will help it strengthen its Asian routes.
The airline received its first A320neo in May 2017 and is still operating. Furthermore, the aircraft has the registration VT-TNB with the special #NotJustAnotherNeo livery.
Avolon, a global provider of aircraft leasing solutions, has recently declared that it has fulfilled the transportation of 15 A320neo aircraft to Vistara (UK).
Boeing 787 Dreamliner First C check
Vistara (UK) Airlines sends its first Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner to Singapore for the first heavy maintenance check called C-check.
TATA SIA Joint Ventured Airline took the delivery of its first Dreamliner in Feb 2020. Further, the aircraft is powered by two General Electric GEnX engines.
This is the first time that the airline has sent its aircraft for C-check. The carrier currently has a fleet of four Boeing 787-9 aircraft. While three are still on orders and will join the fleet at the end of 2023 and in 2024.
