Similar Incident
The previous few months have seen an increase in incidents of offensive behavior on the part of passengers on flights. An Indian guy who was taking American Airlines flight AA 292 from New York to Delhi last month was detained at the Delhi airport after it was claimed he urinated on his fellow passenger as a result of an argument. According to news agency PTI, the driver’s passenger was intoxicated at the time of the collision.
At about 9 o’clock at night, the aircraft touched down at Indira Gandhi International Airport. Before landing, the airline reported the incident to the Delhi airport, and the passengers involved in the brawl were subsequently turned over to the Delhi Police.
A similar incident was reported on November 26 of last year. In this instance, an inebriated passenger peed on a female co-passenger who was in her 70s and was traveling on an Air India trip from New York to Delhi in business class.
A similar incident involving a passenger on an Air India Paris-New Delhi flight allegedly occurred in December of the previous year when he allegedly discharged himself on a vacant seat and a female passenger’s blanket while she was using the lavatory.
