Air India has placed an order for 470 aircraft from Airbus and Boeing at a list price of $70 billion, according to Chief Executive Campbell Wilson, as the airline seeks potential to expand in long-haul international travel.

IndiGo is in talks with Airbus to purchase “several hundred aircrafts,” according to comments made by French Finance Minister Bruno Le Maire in comments published by Les Echos on Thursday.
Indian airlines are anticipated to order between 1500 and 1700 aircraft, Over the next two years, according to aviation consulting group Centre for Aviation CAPA India. Over 700 commercial aircraft are already in use by Indian carriers, and fewer than 800 more are ordered.
Air India is thinking about ordering 300 narrow-body aircraft, which would be one of the largest orders in the country’s commercial aviation history.
