DUBAI- Etihad Airways (EY), the flag carrier of the United Arab Emirates, has unveiled its largest-ever summer schedule from Abu Dhabi International Airport (AUH).
The airline is scaling operations across global markets as demand for travel to and from Abu Dhabi continues to rise. The expansion strengthens Abu Dhabi’s position as a key international aviation hub.
Etihad Airways is operating more than 300 flights per day during peak summer, supported by a 10% increase in capacity compared to last year.
The airline has expanded its fleet by 23 additional aircraft, enabling higher frequencies across major international routes. Strong demand has pushed load factors close to 90%, reflecting robust recovery and sustained travel growth.

Etihad Launches Largest Summer Schedule
Etihad continues to accelerate its global growth strategy with a significant increase in summer operations across its network. The airline connects passengers across Europe, Asia, North America, Africa, and the Middle East through Abu Dhabi.
This expansion supports its goal of strengthening connectivity through Abu Dhabi International Airport (AUH).
The carrier’s growing fleet and increased flight frequencies allow it to serve more destinations with improved schedules.
Etihad’s operational scale now positions it among the fastest-expanding premium airlines in the region. The airline’s summer programme reflects strong international travel demand and network optimization.

New Destinations Strategic Global Launch
Between 11 and 14 June, Etihad introduced four new destinations in four consecutive days.
These include Kraków Airport (KRK) in Poland, Palma de Mallorca Airport (PMI) in Spain, Damascus International Airport (DAM) in Syria, and Zanzibar Airport (ZNZ) in Tanzania. Each route strengthens Etihad’s presence in both leisure and culturally significant travel markets.
The new services expand access to Europe’s heritage cities and the Indian Ocean’s premium island destinations. These additions enhance Abu Dhabi’s role as a global transfer hub for long-haul and regional travelers.
The rapid rollout highlights Etihad’s aggressive network expansion strategy in 2026.

Seasonal Summer Leisure Routes
Etihad is also reinstating five popular seasonal destinations for summer travel demand. The airline has brought back Mykonos Airport (JMK), Malaga Airport (AGP), Santorini Airport (JTR), Nice Airport (NCE), and Al Alamein International Airport (DBB).
These routes cater to strong leisure demand across Europe and North Africa.
The seasonal schedule complements Etihad’s new route launches, offering passengers greater flexibility and travel options. The airline also continues to support inbound tourism to Abu Dhabi through enhanced connectivity initiatives.
This includes collaborative travel facilitation measures designed to improve the passenger experience.
Etihad’s expanded summer programme underscores its commitment to network growth, fleet expansion, and global connectivity. With increased capacity and strategic route development, the airline is reinforcing Abu Dhabi’s role as a leading international aviation gateway.
