ATLANTA- A female passenger on board Delta Air Lines (DL) flight 453 from Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL) to Salt Lake City International Airport (SLC) on Monday night was removed from the aircraft upon arrival by airline personnel.
Fellow passengers described the woman as heavily intoxicated while seated in the exit row, though the cabin crew had not served her any alcohol during the flight.
The incident took a disturbing turn the following day when the woman returned to Salt Lake City International Airport (SLC) in search of her phone, with no memory of what had occurred.
Passengers now speculate that she may have been involuntarily drugged during the Delta Air Lines (DL) flight, raising serious concerns about passenger safety and onboard predatory behavior, View from the Wing reported.

Woman Removed From Delta Flight
According to a fellow passenger who posted about the incident online, the woman appeared extremely intoxicated and was described as “incredibly obnoxious” during the flight.
Delta (DL) staff met the aircraft on arrival at Salt Lake City (SLC) and escorted her off the plane to check her bag for alcohol based on how she presented herself.
The crew had not served her any drinks during the flight, which raised immediate questions about how she became so visibly impaired.
The situation became far more alarming the next day. The woman returned to Salt Lake City International Airport (SLC) searching for her lost phone. She reportedly had no idea what had happened to her the previous night.
This detail has fueled speculation among passengers that she may have been drugged without her knowledge, a practice commonly referred to as being “roofied.”

Male Passenger Switched Seats
A key detail from the passenger account points to suspicious behavior by a male traveler in the same exit row. According to the report, the man switched seats with the middle-seat passenger to position himself next to the impaired woman. He then repeatedly offered to drive her home after landing.
Other passengers on the flight noticed this behavior and grew concerned. One passenger stated that no one would let the man leave with her. A family seated directly behind the exit row was reportedly uncomfortable with the entire situation unfolding in front of them.
The fact that a stranger made deliberate moves to sit beside a visibly incapacitated woman and then attempted to leave with her has raised alarm among those who witnessed the events.

Crew Intervention May Have Prevented a Dangerous Situation
In a twist of events, the airline’s decision to remove the woman from the aircraft upon arrival may have inadvertently protected her from a potentially dangerous encounter.
By having airline staff meet the plane and escort the woman away, Delta (DL) personnel effectively separated her from the male passenger who had been attempting to leave with her.
This incident highlights a broader safety concern for air travelers. Drink spiking on flights is difficult to detect and even harder to prevent. Cabin crew members are trained to identify passengers who appear intoxicated, but distinguishing between voluntary and involuntary intoxication presents a significant challenge.
