WASHINGTON- Mammoth Freighters has achieved Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) certification for its Boeing 777‑200LRMF (Long Range Mammoth Freighter) converted freighter variant, positioning the company to begin deliveries of the new aircraft to global cargo operators.
The Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) approval represents a significant milestone in Mammoth’s broader strategy to expand its widebody passenger‑to‑freighter (P2F) offerings and accelerate its footprint in major cargo markets.
Mammoth will soon deliver the certified 777‑200LRMF to launch customer Jetran, a U.S. aircraft services and leasing company that intends to place the freighter with operators including Qatar Airways Cargo.

Boeing 777‑200LRMF Certification Details
The FAA’s STC confirms that the 777‑200LRMF meets all airworthiness, structural, and systems performance requirements for commercial cargo service.
This approval was the culmination of years of engineering work and close collaboration between Mammoth engineers and regulators. With the certificate now granted, Mammoth is authorised to begin deliveries of the Boeing 777‑200LRMF to its customers.
The 777‑200LRMF’s design features a reinforced floor, a large main deck cargo door, and a flexible cargo handling system suited for heavy‑lift missions.
These modifications allow the aircraft to carry competitive payloads over long distances, supporting the needs of major freight carriers and integrators seeking efficient widebody capacity.
Jetran’s chief executive has expressed confidence in the aircraft’s technical execution, noting that Mammoth’s engineering quality aligns with the high standards expected by global cargo operators.
Mammoth already plans additional conversions for Jetran, with aircraft slated for deployment with major logistics carriers.

Global Expansion Plans of Boeing 777‑200LRMF
With the 777‑200LRMF now certified, Mammoth is actively targeting international partnerships to support further growth.
The company is evaluating potential collaborations with a “group of” maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) providers in China to serve the Asia‑Pacific freighter conversion market.
This strategic intent aligns with growing demand for long‑range freighters across global cargo networks, where converted aircraft offer cost advantages over new‑build types.
Mammoth’s expansion plans also include progress on certification for the larger 777‑300ERMF.
That variant, expected to receive FAA approval later in the year, will offer operators increased volume capacity while maintaining similar range performance, addressing different segments of the cargo market.
Industry observers note that passenger‑to‑freighter conversions of large widebodies are gaining traction as airlines and integrators seek to replenish ageing freighter fleets.
The 777 family, with its proven reliability and operational efficiency, is emerging as a preferred platform for conversions, particularly as newer production freighters come with higher acquisition costs.

Mammoth’s Market Position
Mammoth’s two‑pronged conversion strategy—certified 777‑200LRMF and future 777‑300ERMF—positions it among a competitive yet expanding group of P2F specialists offering solutions on Boeing 777 platforms.
As the company scales production and forges international MRO alliances, its certified freighters are anticipated to play a growing role in worldwide cargo operations.
Further, Mammoth’s achievement marks a notable development in the P2F sector and underscores the value of supplemental type conversions in meeting evolving air freight demand.
