MONTREAL- Bombardier has secured European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) certification for the Global 8000, completing its full set of global regulatory approvals. The milestone confirms the aircraft’s readiness for unrestricted international operations.
The certification reinforces the Global 8000’s status as the world’s fastest civilian aircraft, combining record-breaking speed, ultra-long range capability, and industry-leading passenger comfort.

Bombardier Global 8000 Gets EASA Certification
The Bombardier Global 8000 has received certification from the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), marking the final step in its worldwide regulatory clearance.
The approval follows Transport Canada type certification issued on November 5, 2025, and certification from the US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) granted on December 19, 2025.
With EASA certification now in place, the aircraft is authorized for operation across Europe and other EASA-governed regions. This completes Bombardier’s multi-authority certification program and supports expanded customer deliveries in global markets.
The Global 8000 entered service in December 2025 as Bombardier’s flagship ultra-long-range business jet. It is currently the fastest civilian aircraft in operation, capable of reaching a top speed of Mach 0.95.
The aircraft delivers a range of 8,000 nautical miles, enabling nonstop flights between more city pairs than any other true four-zone business jet. This performance allows operators to reduce travel time while maintaining operational efficiency on the longest routes.
Passenger well-being is a core design focus of the Global 8000. The aircraft features the lowest cabin altitude in production business aviation, measuring 2,691 feet while cruising at 41,000 feet.
Lower cabin altitude reduces fatigue and physiological stress associated with long-duration, high altitude travel. This helps passengers arrive feeling more alert and better prepared for business or government missions.

Four Zone Cabin and Interior Flexibility
The Global 8000 is the only business jet in its class to combine an 8,000 nautical-mile range with a true four-zone cabin. The layout supports dedicated areas for work, dining, relaxation, and rest, allowing passengers to tailor the environment to each phase of flight.
This configuration supports long missions without compromising comfort or productivity, reinforcing the aircraft’s positioning at the top of the business aviation market.
Despite its size and range, the Global 8000 delivers takeoff and landing performance comparable to that of a light jet. This capability expands access to airports with shorter runways.
Its advanced wing design, equipped with unique leading-edge slats, enables access to up to 30 percent more airports than its closest competitor. This flexibility improves route planning and increases operational reach for operators worldwide.

Bombardier’s Global Aviation Presence
Bombardier designs, manufactures, and supports performance-driven aircraft for business, government, and defense customers. Its global fleet includes more than 5,200 aircraft supported by teams across North America, Europe, and other key regions.
The company operates ten service facilities in six countries, with aircraft manufacturing and completion centers located in Canada, the United States, and Mexico.
