HYDERABAD- An inbound KLM Royal Dutch Airlines (KL) flight from Amsterdam (AMS) to Hyderabad (HYD) received a bomb threat email, triggering established security procedures at Hyderabad Airport on December 22, 2025. The aircraft landed safely, and all passengers and crew remained unharmed.
The incident adds to a series of similar threat emails received earlier in December involving other international carriers operating to Hyderabad.

KLM 787 Bomb Threat
According to airport sources, the bomb threat email targeting the KLM flight was received around midnight.
Authorities immediately activated standard aviation security protocols in coordination with airport security agencies.
The Amsterdam to Hyderabad flight landed safely at approximately 1 am. After landing, passengers were managed as per established safety procedures to ensure there was no risk to life or airport operations. No suspicious items were reported following checks.

Similar Incidents
Hyderabad Airport had reported similar incidents earlier in the month. On December 6, bomb threat emails were received on the airport’s official customer support email address for two international flights
British Airways Flight 277 landed safely at Hyderabad at 5:25 am, following which standard safety checks were completed. Kuwait Airways Flight 373, however, returned to its departure airport in Kuwait as a precautionary measure.
Hyderabad Airport operator GMR confirmed both incidents and stated that all actions were taken in line with prescribed aviation security protocols.

A day earlier, on December 5, a similar email threat was received for Emirates Flight 526 operating from Dubai to Hyderabad.
The flight continued under heightened monitoring and landed safely at Hyderabad around 8:30 am. After arrival, the aircraft was moved to an isolated bay, and passengers were deboarded safely following standard operating procedures.
Airport authorities continue to emphasize that all threat-related communications are treated seriously, regardless of credibility. Each incident is handled using established security frameworks to ensure passenger safety and minimal disruption to airport operations.
Officials have reiterated that coordinated responses between airlines, airport operators, and security agencies remain critical in managing such situations effectively.
