DUBAI– Emirates Airline (EK) is set to significantly increase its service to Cairo (CAI), adding a fifth daily flight on the Dubai–Cairo route. The move follows six additional weekly frequencies starting 1 December 2025, and from 1 February 2026, the schedule will shift to a full daily service.
Beginning 1 December 2025, the airline will deploy six extra weekly flights on the route as the winter peak season approaches. From 1 February 2026 onward, the new daily flight will integrate with the existing four services to deliver a total of five daily flights.

Emirates Adds More Flights to Cairo
Emirates’ expanded schedule uses the Boeing 777 on the Dubai (DXB)–Cairo (CAI) route and is timed to optimize connectivity for onward travel from Dubai to key Asian markets, including Hong Kong, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Thailand.
The additional cargo capacity is notable: an extra 300 tonnes per week of belly‑hold space will be added on the Boeing 777 flights, supporting trade and fresh produce exports from Egypt.
Cairo was among Emirates’ earliest international destinations and remains a high‑priority market. The city already hosts the highest deployment of Emirates’ A380 aircraft in the Middle East & North Africa region outside of Dubai.
Upon the launch of the fifth daily flight, Cairo will become the most‑served city in the airline’s entire African network. Emirates has operated flights to Cairo since 1986, during which time it has carried over 10 million passengers to and from the Egyptian market.

Strong Travel Demand
Between December 1st to January 31st, Emirates is set to operate on this route on all days except Thursdays. From February, the carrier will offer daily services.
The capacity increase reflects rising leisure and corporate travel demand between Egypt and the UAE, and supports Emirates’ role as a hub‑carrier connecting Egypt through Dubai to Asia and other long‑haul markets.
For Egyptian exporters, especially fresh‑produce suppliers such as strawberries and other fruits and vegetables, the increased cargo lift offers faster and more reliable access to global markets via the Emirates SkyCargo network.

Bilateral Relations and Market Details
The increase in flight frequency underscores the strong bilateral relations between Egypt and the UAE, including tourism, industry, and commerce.
Enhanced air connectivity is expected to further strengthen trade and investment links and promote tourism between the two countries.
When the route was announced, Adnan Kazim, Emirates’ Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer, expressed his delight in the following way:
The additional service will make it easier for customers to connect across our network, while fostering strong trade and tourism links between Egypt, the UAE and the wider world. On the eve of our 40th anniversary of operations to Cairo, the enhanced schedule is a mark of our unwavering commitment to the region. We’d like to extend our thanks to the Egyptian authorities for their support in securing this new frequency…

Bottom Line
Emirates’ decision to expand to a fifth daily flight between Dubai and Cairo marks a major capacity and connectivity boost for the Egyptian–UAE market.
Scheduled to launch incrementally from December 2025 and daily from February 2026, the move bolsters both passenger and cargo flows.
For Cairo, the upgrade reinforces its status as Emirates’ most‑served African city and emphasizes the airline’s long‑term strategic commitment to Egypt’s aviation, tourism, and trade sectors.
