NEW DELHI– Embraer, a leading global aerospace manufacturer, has officially opened its new corporate office in India. The new office, located at WorldMark 4 in Aerocity, will serve as the central hub for all of Embraer’s operations in the region.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by key dignitaries, including Brazil’s Vice President Geraldo Alckmin, Brazil’s Minister of Defense José Mucio, and India’s Minister of Civil Aviation Shri Kinjarapu Rammohan Naidu.

Embraer Opens New Office in India
Embraer’s decision to establish a dedicated Indian subsidiary aligns with its strategy to expand across commercial aviation, defense, business aviation, and urban air mobility segments.
The new office will coordinate local operations, supply chain management, engineering, and customer support functions to enhance efficiency and responsiveness.
By expanding its footprint in India, Embraer aims to deepen partnerships with Indian aerospace manufacturers and contribute to national initiatives such as ‘Make in India’ and ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’.
These programs focus on developing indigenous capabilities in manufacturing and technology.
Francisco Gomes Neto, President and CEO of Embraer, emphasized that India is a strategic market for the company.
He noted that the new office will strengthen collaboration with customers, suppliers, and partners, while enabling Embraer to deliver world-class solutions tailored to India’s evolving aerospace needs.

Commitment to Regional Growth
Embraer’s engagement in India spans nearly two decades. Since the introduction of its first E-Jet in 2005, the company has played a crucial role in enhancing regional air connectivity.
Currently, more than 50 Embraer aircraft operate in India, serving commercial, government, and defense missions.
The company’s defense portfolio has also made a notable impact. The ERJ145 platform supports the Indian Air Force’s ‘Netra’ AEW&C aircraft, while the Legacy 600 serves government and VIP transport missions.
Embraer’s C-390 Millennium is being positioned as a leading contender for India’s Medium Transport Aircraft program, reflecting its focus on high-performance and multi-role capabilities.
In the commercial segment, Star Air operates a fleet exclusively composed of Embraer E175 and ERJ145 aircraft, helping bridge regional routes across tier-two and tier-three cities.
This expansion contributes significantly to India’s connectivity goals and its ambition of becoming a global aviation hub.

Bottom Line
Embraer’s new office in New Delhi signifies more than an administrative milestone—it reflects a deepening strategic commitment to India’s aerospace future.
By integrating defense innovation, regional connectivity, and advanced air mobility, Embraer is positioning itself as a vital partner in India’s aviation growth story.
The move also underscores a stronger Brazil–India relationship, built on shared goals of technology advancement and mutual economic development.
