ABU DHABI- Starting from November 1, Air India Express (IX) and IndiGo (6E) flights will be relocated to the new terminal, Terminal A, at Abu Dhabi International Airport (AUH). This transition will occur in three phases throughout the month of November.
On the inaugural day, a total of 15 international airlines, such as Air India Express, IndiGo, and Wizz Air Abu Dhabi (5W), will commence their operations from the new terminal.
Shift of Operations
Starting from November 9, 16 Etihad Airways (EY) flights will be relocated to the new terminal. Then, between November 14 and November 28, an additional 10 airlines, including Air Arabia Abu Dhabi (3L), will begin operating from Terminal A.
This development means all passenger flights will operate from the new terminal. Terminal A boasts an impressive capacity of accommodating 45 million passengers annually, making it one of the largest airport terminals globally.
Officials have stated that it can efficiently manage the travel arrangements for up to 11,000 passengers per hour and simultaneously facilitate the operation of 79 flights.
New Abu Dhabi Terminal
Abu Dhabi Airport (AUH) has unveiled plans for the imminent opening of its state-of-the-art new terminal at Abu Dhabi International Airport. Referred to as ‘Terminal A’ after its construction, this remarkable facility is set to commence operations in early November 2023.

Furthermore, Terminal A is set to offer a plethora of world-class amenities, including opulent lounges, serene relaxation zones, and luxurious spa facilities where travelers can unwind before or after their flights.
Comprising 163 retail and food and beverage establishments catering to diverse tastes and preferences, the terminal’s retail offerings will captivate leisure and business travelers.
