FRANKFURT- Condor Airlines (DE) is set to launch a new route connecting Frankfurt (FRA) and San Antonio (SAT) commencing on May 17, 2024. This route will be serviced by an Airbus A330neo aircraft, operating thrice weekly.
As highlighted by Ishrion Aviation on Twitter, San Antonio, Texas, is gearing up to welcome its inaugural long-haul route in 2024. Despite serving nearly 9.5 million passengers in 2022, the airport has yet to offer scheduled nonstop air service to destinations beyond North and Central America.

Condor Frankfurt to San Antonio
Low-cost carrier Condor is set to launch service from its Frankfurt hub (FRA) to San Antonio (SAT) starting on May 17, 2024. According to the post on X (formerly Twitter), this service will operate three times per week.
The flight is scheduled to depart from Frankfurt at 2:00 p.m., with an arrival in San Antonio at 6:25 p.m. The return leg will leave SAT at 8:25 p.m. and reach FRA the following day at 1:40 p.m. All times are in local time.
In short,
- Departure from FRA at 2:00 PM, arriving at SAT at 6:25 PM.
- Departure from SAT at 8:25 PM, arriving at FRA at 1:40 PM the following day.
The nearby Austin–Bergstrom International Airport (AUS) currently offers regular transatlantic service to London Heathrow via British Airways and Virgin Atlantic. Lufthansa and KLM also provide service to Austin.

On Twitter, San Antonio International Airport provided a tantalizing preview of this new service on Wednesday, setting the stage for an official announcement on Thursday. Condor has also added the central Texas city to its route network.
