ABU DHABI- Condor (DE) has launched daily flights between Berlin Brandenburg Airport (BER) and Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, expanding its long-haul network and strengthening connections between Germany’s capital region and the Gulf. The service operates in a codeshare partnership with Etihad Airways (EY).
The new route provides travellers with a direct connection between Berlin and Abu Dhabi, alongside transfer options to destinations including Bangkok, Sydney and Hanoi. Condor says the partnership will serve both leisure and business travellers, while Berlin Brandenburg Airport expects the additional service to improve the region’s international accessibility.

Condor Begins Abu Dhabi Flight
Condor operates the Berlin–Abu Dhabi route daily using an Airbus A320neo configured with 180 seats. Under the published summer schedule, flights depart Berlin Brandenburg Airport at 4:40 p.m. and arrive in Abu Dhabi at 1:00 a.m. the following day, after approximately six hours and 20 minutes.
The return service departs Abu Dhabi at 2:15 a.m. and reaches Berlin at 7:15 a.m., with a scheduled flight time of around seven hours.
These timings provide passengers with overnight travel options in both directions and access to onward connections through Abu Dhabi.
The schedule changes with Germany’s transition to winter time on October 25, 2026. Under the winter timetable, departures from Berlin are scheduled for 10:00 a.m., with arrival in Abu Dhabi at 7:20 p.m. local time. The return flight is scheduled to arrive in Berlin at 6:20 a.m.
The time difference between Berlin and Abu Dhabi is currently two hours and increases to three hours when Germany switches to winter time. Travellers should check their booking details for the applicable departure and arrival times.

Etihad Codeshare Connections
The codeshare agreement allows Condor passengers to connect with Etihad’s wider network through Abu Dhabi. Destinations highlighted by the airlines include Bangkok in Thailand, Sydney in Australia and Hanoi in Vietnam, expanding the range of journeys available from Berlin through a single connecting hub.
Condor Chief Commercial Officer Dr. Pierre Dominique Prümm said the daily service strengthens the airline’s long-haul network and improves international connectivity for Germany’s capital region. He also highlighted the role of the partnership in providing onward travel options for both business and leisure passengers.
Etihad Vice President of Alliances and Joint Ventures Lena Havia said the cooperation strengthens the airline’s presence in the German market.
She noted that the networks complement each other, offering Berlin passengers year-round daily flights to Abu Dhabi and connections across Etihad’s network.
The arrangement gives travellers additional routing choices without requiring Condor to operate every onward flight itself. However, the availability of specific connecting services depends on schedules, ticket arrangements and the destinations served on the travel date.

Berlin Connectivity Expansion
The new service also supports Berlin Brandenburg Airport’s efforts to improve international connections.
Aletta von Massenbach, chief executive of Flughafen Berlin Brandenburg GmbH, said the route would open additional travel and business opportunities across Asia and Australia through Etihad’s hub.
For Berlin and Brandenburg, the service provides another link to a major international transfer point, potentially benefiting regional businesses, inbound visitors and residents travelling overseas. Daily operations also offer greater scheduling flexibility than a service operating only on selected days.
The use of the Airbus A320neo provides 180 seats on the route, connecting the German capital directly with Abu Dhabi while feeding passengers into Etihad’s wider network.
With the Condor–Etihad partnership combining direct flights and onward connections, the route adds another option for travellers between Germany, the Gulf and destinations beyond.
