MALE- Beond, a highly anticipated premium leisure airline based in Maldives, will debut in September, targeting a fleet of 32 Airbus A321neo aircraft within the next four years.
The chief executive officer, Tero Taskila, recently spoke with Airfinance Journal. He shared the carrier’s vision of serving premium leisure travelers from the Maldives using the Airbus A321 model.

Beond: The New Maldives Airline
Beond aims to cater to the discerning needs of premium leisure travelers, offering an elevated travel experience from the stunning Maldives.
The carrier plans to commence operations with three narrowbody aircraft by the end of this year. Taskila noted that all aircraft are currently on operating lease contracts.
With an ambitious growth strategy, Beond aims to expand its fleet to 12 units by the end of next year, 19 units by 2025, 26 units by 2026, and 32 aircraft by the end of 2027.

This rapid fleet expansion reflects the carrier’s commitment to meet the increasing demand for premium leisure travel in the region.
Beond has carefully selected a range of attractive destinations for its initial operations. From its base in Male, the carrier plans to offer services to popular cities such as Paris, Munich, Milan, Vienna, and Zurich.
Additionally, Beond will operate flights from Jeddah, Riyadh, and Dubai. Further to Astana, Bombay, Delhi, Hong Kong SAR, Singapore, Perth, and Taipei.
In terms of the onboard experience, Beond will feature a cabin configuration with 68 fully lie-flat seats. This design ensures maximum comfort and relaxation for passengers during their journey. Further enhancing the premium leisure travel experience.

Max Nilov, the chief strategy officer, has held various strategic and consultant positions within the airline industry. He served as Boeing’s marketing and sales director for the Middle East, Central Asia, Russia, and Ukraine from 2014 to 2020.
