LONDON- According to British Airways (BA) CEO Sean Doyle, the airline is experiencing more balanced growth in India and has increased its weekly flights to 56, surpassing the pre-pandemic levels.
During a media roundtable, Doyle mentioned that there is a noticeable increase in air travel demand in India, and British Airways is actively seeking expansion opportunities in the country.
British Airways Witnessing Balanced Demands in India
The airline operates 56 weekly flights, connecting five major Indian cities: Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Bengaluru, and Hyderabad. This number rose from the previous count of 49 weekly flights before the COVID-19 pandemic.
Doyle emphasized that British Airways is committed to rebuilding and modernizing its operations after the pandemic, with India playing a crucial role in its plans for growth.
Calum Laming, the Chief Customer Officer of the airline, mentioned that British Airways has over 2,000 employees in India. Further contributing to its extensive global workforce of more than 35,000 individuals.
Expansion of US Network
