DUBAI, UAE- In anticipation of the Hajj season and upcoming Eid Al Adha celebrations, Middle East Carrier, Emirates (EK), is introducing extra flights to key regional destinations to accommodate the significant travel demand during this special period.
These additional flights aim to ensure a smooth travel experience for pilgrims and passengers celebrating Eid Al Adha.

Emirates Additional Flights for Hajj and Eid Al Adha
To meet the increased demand for Hajj travel, Emirates has added ten flights to and from Jeddah. As the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia lifts all Hajj travel restrictions for the first time in three years.
These flights will be operated on Boeing 777 aircraft exclusively for Hajj pilgrims until 7 July. Further, Medina will also have daily flights during this period.
Emirates is already witnessing strong bookings for Hajj travel from countries such as Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, Indonesia, Thailand, Senegal, the Ivory Coast, Mauritius, and South Africa.
The airline aims to seamlessly transport the anticipated 2.6 million pilgrims expected to perform Hajj this year.
Emirates is gearing up for a busy travel period during Eid Al Adha by adding 34 additional flights to popular destinations across the region.
With an estimated 78,000 people expected to travel with Emirates during the six-day Eid Al Adha break, these extra flights will facilitate passengers returning home to celebrate with their loved ones.
For passengers traveling to the Levant, Emirates has added ten flights to Amman and ten additional flights to Beirut. Within the GCC, the airline has increased its flights to Dammam and Kuwait.
The demand for travel during Eid Al Adha has seen a 20% increase compared to 2022, with customers heading to various destinations, including India, Pakistan, Thailand, the Philippines, the UK, France, and the US.
A Pilgrim-Centric Experience
Emirates is dedicated to providing a seamless and peaceful travel experience for Hajj pilgrims. A dedicated team has been established to support pilgrims throughout their once-in-a-lifetime Hajj journey.
At Dubai Airport, a dedicated airport team will manage check-in, and pilgrims transiting through Dubai will be escorted from their arrival gate to the departure gate, with all arrival formalities processed by a dedicated Hajj team.
Onboard, Emirates offers a pilgrim-centric experience that upholds the values and traditions of the passengers’ faith.
Extra provisions are made to accommodate ablutions and cleansing rituals. While unperfumed towels and additional blankets will be provided. Special announcements will guide passengers as they enter Al Miqat zones (state of sanctity).
Emirates’ award-winning ice system will feature a Hajj video providing important safety and pilgrimage information. The Holy Quran channel will also offer additional religious content for reflection before arriving in Jeddah.
Passengers can check in for up to 5 liters of holy water (Zamzam), which will be stored in special areas in the cargo hold.
Special In-flight Celebrations
Emirates, known for its multicultural approach, will celebrate the spirit of Eid Al Adha by offering traditional treats onboard. From June 28 to 30, passengers can enjoy classic Eid dishes on select outbound flights from Dubai and all flights across the Gulf and Levant.
First, Business, Premium Economy, and Economy Class passengers will serve the regional favorites such as chicken moughalghal, beef sajiyeh, prawn morbian, lamb madfoon, chicken zurbian, lamb chermoula, kebab khashkhash, prawn sayadieh, lamb tagine, Daoud basha, and chicken hamsa.
Desserts will feature a tempting selection of Eid favorites. Including honey and white chocolate cake, pistachio and chocolate namoura cake, and rehash. Further, the white chocolate mousse cake and coffee cake with Arabica sauce.
Passengers will also receive a special Eid treat from the Emirates. Subsequently, various delectable pastries and Arabic coffee will be served in the signature A380 Onboard Lounge.
