Today, the airline proudly announces its partnership with US Aviation Academy in Denton, Texas, as the newest Spirit Wings Pilot Pathway program member.
As a renowned flight school, US Aviation Academy offers comprehensive pilot training and is conveniently situated near one of Spirit’s Pilot crew bases at Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW).
This strategic location enables graduates to foster connections and advance their careers as successful Spirit First Officers.

Spirit Airlines Pilots Recruitment
Candidates must successfully complete their flight training at US Aviation Academy and achieve approximately 500 hours of total flight time to apply for the program.
If successful in Spirit’s interview process, they will receive a conditional offer of employment, a Spirit Electronic Flight Bag (EFB), and mentorship as they work toward completing the hours required for an Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate. Further, Program pilots who meet all requirements will join the team as Spirit First Officers.
To be eligible for the program, aspiring candidates are required to complete their flight training at US Aviation Academy. Further, accumulate approximately 500 hours of total flight time.
Upon meeting these prerequisites, they can apply for the program. If selected, candidates will receive a conditional offer of employment from Spirit. Along with a Spirit Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) and valuable mentorship.
