On Monday, Akasa Air (QP), India’s newest airline, unveiled the second phase of its training and development center, known as the ‘Akasa Air Learning Academy,’ in Gurugram.

The expansion aims to strengthen further the airline’s ability to deliver comprehensive and practical training. Subsequently, it’s rapidly expanding workforce includes pilots, cabin crew, engineers, airport services, and security personnel.
In preparation for its commercial launch, Akasa Air invested significantly in July 2022 by establishing a dedicated Learning Academy spanning 14,000 square feet. The academy was designed to provide comprehensive safety, service, and quality training.
By adding a new facility covering 20,000 square feet, Akasa Air further enhances its learning capabilities with state-of-the-art technology and a focus on the modern aviation industry. This expansion empowers Akasa Air to train and prepare over 700 aviation professionals for the future.
Akasa Air Exclusive Trainer for India
The newly introduced training features include India’s exclusive door trainer for next-generation aircraft, showcasing Akasa’s ongoing dedication to top-tier safety standards.
The advanced door trainer offers a realistic environment for cabin crew members to practice normal and emergency procedures. It provides hands-on training and practical experience with Type I main doors and Type III automatic over-wing exits.
Additionally, it simulates various flight phases, such as pushback, taxi, cruise, descent, and landing, accompanied by pre-recorded announcements. The door trainer can replicate multiple emergency scenarios for effective emergency management.
Designed to replicate real-world environments, the trainer accurately represents the operational characteristics of the aircraft equipment. It is tailored to provide cabin crew members with the utmost safety and emergency training.
