“The A350-1000 offers greater range capability and higher capacity. Which is necessary to cater to the future demands of Philippine Airlines. Consequently, it is an ideal aircraft to help PAL expand sustainably. Furthermore, it offers passengers unparalleled comfort during their flights,” said Stanley.

Airbus Chief Commercial Officer, Christian Scherer, stated that “the A350’s ability to fly passengers further and more comfortably provides a major boost to fuel efficiency and a significant reduction in emissions.”
“These features make the A350 a preferred choice for leading airlines around the world.” Scherer also expressed enthusiasm for working closely with Philippine Airlines as the company progresses with its fleet modernization initiative.

Philippine Airlines, Inc. (PAL) has been a pioneering force in end-to-end airline operations, which form a distinct industry of its own. The company proudly bears its original name and national colors and has been shining through for almost eight decades.
PAL traces its roots back to the Philippine Aerial Taxi Company, founded in 1931 by co-founder Andres Soriano. In 1939, Soriano shut down the company and replaced it with Philippine Air Lines two years later. Despite the looming threat of war, PAL courageously conducted its first flight from Makati to Baguio with just five passengers on board on March 15, 1941.
Philippine Airlines (PAL) uses different Airbus models on its full-service network. Alongside the A350 used on long-haul intercontinental flights, PAL operates A330-300s for flights to the Middle East, Australia, and various locations in Asia.
The airline’s fleet also includes single-aisle A320 and A321 planes that serve its comprehensive domestic and regional network based in hubs in Manila and Cebu.
