According to the passenger on the Delhi to Mumbai flight, the Air India flight was delayed from its original departure time of 8:00 p.m. to 10:40 p.m., then to 11:35 p.m., then to 12:30 a.m., and finally to 1:48 a.m. from Terminal 3 of Delhi IGI airport.

Passengers on a Mumbai-bound Air India flight and airline personnel got into a heated argument late Tuesday 21st February 2023 night at Delhi airport after the flight was delayed for more than five hours.

According to a passenger on the Delhi-Mumbai flight, flight AI-805 was delayed from its original departure time of 8:00 p.m. to 10:40 p.m., then to 11:35 p.m., then to 12:30 a.m., and finally to 1:48 a.m. from Terminal 3 of Delhi International Airport.

He continued by stating that the supervisors kept fabricating stories about the flight being delayed due to crew on the way and that they were “fooling” customers.
Another staff member stated that it was due to the pilot, who was supposed to be on the plane, becoming ill at the last minute.
Some passengers also claimed that delays caused them to miss their connecting flight to Qatar. “It was a terrible experience. There were approximately 200 passengers at the airport, and there was no word from the airline. There was no water available until 11:50 p.m.”
However, an Air India spokesperson denied the accusation, claiming that all passengers were well taken care of and fed. The ompany representative also blamed the delay on technical difficulties.
Earlier today, an Air India flight from Newark to Delhi was forced to make an emergency landing in Sweden due to an oil leak in one of the engines.
