IndiGo Airlines aircraft 6E-2051, which was departing from Mumbai for Delhi, received a false bomb threat. A aircraft from Delhi to Deogarh, IndiGo 6E 6191, was diverted to Lucknow on Monday due to a specific bomb threat.

In accordance with statements made public by the airline, security services rushed to complete the necessary checks and complied with all relevant security regulations.
“At Delhi Airport, the security services immediately took the aircraft to a secluded bay for a search in accordance with protocol. Upon the completion of all required security procedures, the passengers departed the airport. IndiGo is conducting the investigation in accordance with the security agencies’ guidelines. We are sorry for the trouble this has given the passengers.”

In the second incident, IndiGo aircraft 6E 6191 from Delhi to Deogarh was diverted to Lucknow due to a specific bomb threat. According to an Indigo statement, all appropriate security measures were followed, and the aircraft was cleared for flight.
“Because to security concerns, Indigo flight 6E-6191 from Delhi to Deogarh was diverted to Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport. The flight arrived at CCSIA safely at 12:20 p.m. and was taken to the isolation bay “
According to a CCSIA spokesperson
“The airport security carried out the appropriate procedures to verify the threat, and after a thorough investigation, the threat was determined to be a hoax, and the aircraft was released for the onward voyage at 14:55,” the statement continued.

In connection with that, IndiGo Airlines received a bomb threat call in August 2022 for their flight 6E-65 from Chennai to Dubai. The evacuation and search of the entire aircraft added almost 6 hours to the journey, which was carrying about 170 passengers. An IndiGo flight (6E 2126) with a destination of Delhi was reportedly grounded at Patna Airport on July 22, 2022, after a passenger allegedly said he had a bomb in his backpack.
