SpiceJet announced this month that it will begin flights connecting Nashik, Maharashtra with Delhi and Hyderabad.
SpiceJet flights between Hyderabad and Nashik are part of the Udan regional connectivity scheme.
The scheme provides financial incentives from the Centre, state governments, and airport operators to chosen airlines in order to boost operations from unserved and underserved airports while keeping airfares cheap.
SpiceJet noted in an official statement that it has been the most passionate supporter of the government’s regional connectivity scheme, UDAN, from its inception.
Flights on the Hyderabad-Nashik and sector will commence from July 22, while flights on the Delhi-Nashik sector will begin from August 4, the airline said in a statement.
“We can’t wait to introduce additional routes and expand our domestic network. Since travel demand is increasing and the aviation industry is prepared to seize new possibilities to strengthen its recovery, we think the moment is right to expand.”
“We expect that our additional flights, including those operated by UDAN, in the next summer schedule will help to meet the strong travel demand and inspire the industry to reach even higher heights.”
In order to connect Delhi with Dharamshala, Rajkot, Gorakhpur, Patna, and Srinagar, as well as Goa with Hyderabad and Mumbai with Bagdogra, SpiceJet has also increased frequency on a number of sectors.
On these routes, the airline will use its Q400 and Boeing 737 aircraft. The airline’s official website, mobile app, online travel agencies, and interested parties can all be used to purchase tickets.
