The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) announced on Saturday that during this year’s summer schedule, which begins on Sunday, approximately 3,200 international flights will be flown weekly from India.
The DGCA also stated that over 1,466 departures per week had been approved for Indian carriers in a statement.

Foreign carriers, on the other hand, will operate 1,783 weekly departures.The Summer Schedule 2022 is in force from March 27, 2022, to October 29, 2022, according to the DGCA.
The news follows the Central Government’s decision to allow scheduled commercial international passenger services to resume on March 27.

The Government of India has decided to resume scheduled commercial international passenger services to or from India from March 27, 2022, after having recognised the increasing vaccination coverage around the globe and in collaboration with stakeholders," an official communiqué announced on March 8.
