Zero carbon emissions

The International Air Transport Association (IATA) welcomed progress by states towards a long-term aspirational goal (LTAG) of net-zero aviation carbon emissions by 2050 in line with the Paris Agreement’s temperature objectives.

European aircraft maker Airbus and a multinational industrial gases and engineering company called Linde have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (Mou).

Etihad Airways CEO Tony Douglas warned that achieving net-zero carbon emissions by 2050 is the “greatest challenge” for aviation.
