Indian Air Force continues to fly Chinook helicopters as US grounds entire fleet amid fire concerns, seeks details from Boeing on the grounding of US Army’s Chinook chopper fleet, reports. 

The airline has opted for the Boeing 787 Dreamliner to renew its medium and long-haul fleet.

The Airports Authority of India (AAI) had, last month, decided to relax the height restrictions for the construction of buildings around the Navi Mumbai airport from 55.1 meters to 160 meters.

Jet Airways is ready to begin its second innings in India after a gap of nearly two and a half years. The airline has already been granted an operating permit from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA).

The Argentine side expressed its interest in the indigenous Light Combat Aircraft `Tejas’ being manufactured by state-owned Hindustan Aeronautics (HAL). If the deal goes through, HAL will have to rework the LCA Tejas as per the needs of the South American nation.

SpiceJet is at risk of losing 2 additional aircraft. Lessors of the airline’s jets have requested the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) to de-register the 2 SpiceJet Boeing 737 aircraft it owns.

The altercation happened in June on a flight from Geneva and Paris, and the pilots have been removed from active flying.
