An Indian airline has gone from promising 5-star service to passengers to operating out of funds to pay its employees. Its owner, Vijay Mallya, who is now in the UK, is often in the information at court trials, and every time a new sentence is declared, he scratches the wounds of several former workers who are still waiting for their dues to be paid.

It’s been a big day for Turkish Airlines as the carrier took delivery of 4 new jets from Airbus. 3 of the 4 jets were Airbus A350s while another was an A321neo. Interestingly, 2 of the A350s and the A321neo had been initially ordered by Russian carriers.

GMR Group has announced that the Kualanamu International Airport in Medan, Indonesia has started to be run by its joint venture, Angkasa Pura Avicii. PT Angkasa Pura II, the state-owned airport operator in Indonesia, and GMR Airports Ltd. have partnered to become Angkasa Pura Aviasi (APA).
