The injured trainee female pilot has been identified as 22-year-old Bhavika Rathod, who was on a routine training sortie.
A trainer aircraft is reported to have crashed at Kadbanbari in Indapur taluka of Maharashtra’s Pune district.
Trainee lady pilot escaped with minor injuries after a small trainer aircraft she was flying crashed into a field around Kadbanwadi in Indapur tehsil of Maharashtra’s Pune district between 11.20 and 11.25 am on Monday, police stated.
According to the police, the aircraft belonging to a private academy took off from Baramati and was flying at a height of 3,200 feet when it reached down and crashed into the farm.

The injured female pilot has been identified as Bhavika Rathod (22) who was on a routine training sortie. She was taken to Navjeevan Hospital, Shelgtaon for treatment. People familiar with the matter stated that the aircraft run out of fuel after which it crash and landed in the open field belonging to Dadaram Abaji Barate.

Academy of Carver Aviation Private Limited
The aircraft belongs to the Academy of Carver Aviation Private Limited (ACAPL) in Baramati. The academy’s marketing official, Sumit Rathod, stated, “DGCA (Directorate General of Civil Aviation) is investigating the case. Trainee pilot alone was there in the aircraft and not more than two. There are no major injuries and the trainee pilot is safe.”
Following the incident, people from the Pondkule village rushed to the spot and pulled out the female pilot to safety. However, the aircraft was badly damaged due to the crash’s effect. Senior police officials and officials of Carver academy rushed to the spot to assess the damage and probe the accident.
