NEW YORK- American Express (AMEX) has launched Platinum Member Airfares, a rebranded and expanded airfare program for eligible Platinum Card holders that replaces the previous International Airline Program and Recommended Flights.
Cardmembers book discounted fares on over 30 participating airlines through AmexTravel.com, including Delta Air Lines (DL), Lufthansa (LH), Singapore Airlines (SQ), and British Airways (BA).
The program delivers average savings of 10 percent or about $100 per ticket on select premium international cabin fares.
It extends discounts to the primary cardholder and up to seven companions on the same itinerary while allowing travelers to earn 5x Membership Rewards points plus standard airline miles.

Expanded Savings for Platinum Card Holders
Holders of the Platinum Card from American Express and The Business Platinum Card from American Express receive automatic enrollment in Platinum Member Airfares. This includes variants such as the American Express Platinum Card for Schwab and others.
According to Upgraded Points, cardmembers access reduced fares compared with those otherwise available to non-Platinum members through Amex Travel.
Savings cover select premium international flights in premium economy, business class, and first class on designated routes.
The program also includes select economy tickets on domestic flights with limited participating airlines.
Over 30 carriers participate across major alliances, such as Star Alliance members Air Canada (AC), Singapore Airlines (SQ), Turkish Airlines (TK), and Lufthansa (LH); SkyTeam members Air France (AF), Delta Air Lines (DL), and KLM (KL); and Oneworld members Alaska Airlines (AS), British Airways (BA), Japan Airlines (JL), Qatar Airways (QR), Qantas (QF), and more. Ticket cabin classes may vary between domestic and international flights.

How to Book and Redeem Platinum Member Airfares
Cardmembers book flights through AmexTravel.com or the Amex Travel App as usual. On the search results page, they filter by Platinum Member Airfares to view available discounted options.

Travelers pay with Membership Rewards points for all or part of the fare, with a minimum redemption of 5,000 points at one cent per point.
Amex Business Platinum cardmembers benefit from a 35 percent Pay with Points rebate on their selected airline, up to one million points per year.
