TEL AVIV- El Al Israel Airlines (LY) will resume flights to 9 international destinations starting next week, expanding its network to nearly 40 routes. Operations will run through Tel Aviv’s Ben Gurion Airport (TLV), reinforcing global connectivity.
Alongside El Al Israel Airlines, multiple international carriers, including Etihad Airways (EY) and Ethiopian Airlines (ET), will resume scheduled services to Tel Aviv’s Ben Gurion Airport (TLV), with a phased return planned across the week.

El Al Expands to 40 Destinations
El Al Israel Airlines (LY) confirmed it will resume flights from next week to Boston, London Luton, Tivat (Montenegro), Krakow (Poland), Marseille (France), Sofia (Bulgaria), Paphos (Cyprus), and the Greek destinations of Rhodes and Thessaloniki.
This expansion will bring the airline’s total operational network to approximately 40 destinations. The move strengthens both transatlantic and European connectivity while aligning with rising passenger demand.
The airline stated that customers booked on routes that have not yet resumed will be proactively contacted to confirm whether they still intend to travel. This structured communication ensures operational clarity and minimizes disruption.
The announcement was made via the airline’s official social media channels, highlighting a coordinated effort to restore services in a phased and controlled manner.

International Airlines Resume Tel Aviv Flights
The Israel Airports Authority (IAI) confirmed that several foreign airlines will resume operations to and from Tel Aviv’s Ben Gurion Airport (TLV) throughout the week.
According to The Jerusalem Post, this marks a significant step toward restoring normal aviation activity.
ALK Airlines (VBB), a Bulgarian charter carrier, resumed flights on Sunday with a daily service operated on behalf of Bluebird Airways, a Greek-registered and Israeli-owned airline.
TUS Airways (U8), headquartered in Larnaca, Cyprus, is scheduled to resume flights on Tuesday.
On Wednesday, Etihad Airways (EY), the national carrier of Abu Dhabi, and Ethiopian Airlines (ET) will restart operations.
Hainan Airlines (HU) from China will resume flights on Thursday.
On Friday, additional carriers, including Red Wings Airlines (WZ), Georgian Airways (A9), and FlyOne (5F) from Moldova, will return to service.
Arrangements are also underway for Flydubai (FZ) to resume flights, indicating further expansion in the coming days.

Government and Industry Signal Aviation Recovery
Israel’s Transportation Ministry is actively working to restore full aviation capacity and expand international travel options. Officials aim to increase both flight frequency and destination availability.
Transportation Minister Miri Regev stated that the return of foreign airlines will allow the public to access a wider range of destinations and confirmed ongoing efforts to strengthen flight supply.
IAI Chairman Yiftach Ron Tal said that the return of international carriers reflects strong confidence in Israel’s aviation system and its ability to operate effectively even during complex periods.
